Tech Lead (Full Stack/AI/SC Clearable) - Between $230,000-300,000 + equity

What you'll do: Act as the technical lead across multiple defense and federal customer engagements Drive architectural decisions across the core platform, evaluating tradeoffs across performance, scalability, security, and maintainability and building alignment across engineering and product stakeholders Lead major technical epics from conception through delivery, decomposing ambiguous problems into executable plans and keeping cross-functional teams moving with clarity and momentum Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous mission requirements into practical technical solutions Work across software engineering, infrastructure, data and AI/ML systems Partner closely with internal engineering and R&D teams to drive customer requirements through to execution Contribute hands-on where needed while providing technical direction across deployments Move between customer environments and projects, taking ownership without requiring constant escalation back to senior engineering leadership Support deployments within secure and classified environments You'll likely have: A strong software engineering foundation, ideally at Staff, Principal, Lead or equivalent level Broad technical understanding across backend/software systems, infrastructure/cloud and data Experience working with AI/ML systems, with enough depth to confidently discuss modern ML and LLM-based applications Experience deploying complex software into real-world customer environments Strong customer-facing skills - you're comfortable owning technical conversations with senior stakeholders and end users The ability to move between architecture, technical problem-solving and execution Experience operating autonomously in ambiguous, high-ownership environments Experience with defense, federal or other mission-critical customers is highly desirable (and/or SC Cleared or Clearable)This role is offering between 230-300K base + flexible working, equity and many other benefits
