Responsibilities: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Mortgage Servicing, including loan boarding, payment processing, escrow management, and account reconciliation. Practical understanding of Bankruptcy Law and procedures (Chapters 7, 11, 13), with experience handling court filings, plans, and compliance requirements. Experience managing Defaults and delinquent accounts, with the ability to assess risk, follow loss mitigation guidelines, and adhere to investor and regulatory standards. Background in Finance and Loans, including interpretation of loan documents, amortization schedules, and the impact of bankruptcy on loan performance. Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential information in a highly regulated environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with legal counsel, internal departments, and external stakeholders. Proficiency with mortgage servicing platforms and standard office software; familiarity with compliance and reporting tools is beneficial.
Preferred: Experience in mortgage servicing, banking, or financial services; coursework or certification related to law, finance, or mortgage lending.
Qualifications: 3 - 5 years of similar of related experience Knowledge and experience with MFM and CU investor guidelines and processes. Knowledge and experience with FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, RH, VA and other know program guidelines and processes (MSHDA, etc.) Knowledge of different state foreclosure, bankruptcy, and REO requirements. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of personal finance and basic budgeting principles. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
