Structural Engineer or ICC Special Inspector (TR1,TR8)

Job Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred At least 5 years of relevant experience as a construction or special inspector on progressively complex building/facility projects. Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products and the ability to become competent with latest project related inspection software and reporting systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge and experience with structural design. Ability to communicate as a valued team member with colleagues and clients of all levels Ability to provide inspection reports in a timely manner Reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license Willingness to obtain additional certifications Work well with a team and individually Familiarity with construction industry codes Applicant must send at least 5 sample construction inspection reports from any of the below categorieswe seek individuals with one or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI)AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (AWS-CAWI)ACI-1 - Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-CCSI)ICC Concrete Special Inspector (ICC-CSI)ICC Commercial MechanicalICC Pre-Stressed Concrete Special InspectorICC Spray Applied Fire Proofing Special InspectorICC Soils Special InspectorICC Structural Masonry Special InspectorICC Structural Steel and Bolting InspectorICC Structural Welding Inspector (ICC-SWI)Other desirable licenses include: NYS Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect
