Portland Metro area required for this role; some travel required. Marketing Manager (Hotel & Retreats Business) Hospitality | Willamette Valley, Oregon | Portland / Remote This role is being posted on behalf of a hospitality client in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The position can be remote, with regular travel to the property required.
The Role: We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day execution and performance of marketing for a growing, conscious hospitality brand that includes both an Inn and Retreats business. Experience in one or both of these categories is preferred. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn brand and marketing strategy into action. You will manage digital channels, coordinate campaigns, oversee agency and freelance partners, support partnerships and programming, and ensure marketing efforts are organized, measurable, and driving business results. You will work closely with external creative and strategy partners, internal leadership, sales, reservations, operations, and other stakeholders to keep marketing moving across multiple offerings and audiences. What You'll Own: Own the day-to-day execution of the digital marketing calendar across the business Manage campaigns across email, paid social, paid search, website, organic social, partnerships, and other digital channels Translate broader brand and campaign strategies into clear execution plans, timelines, deliverables, and channel requirements Coordinate launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, events, retreats, and other key marketing moments Identify opportunities to improve conversion, customer acquisition, retention, and direct revenue Maintain consistency across digital touchpoints while working within established brand strategy and creative direction Email Marketing & CRM:Own the email marketing calendar across guest, customer, retreat, event, and other relevant audiences Build, QA, schedule, and deploy email campaigns and automated flows Manage audience segmentation and collaborate with reservations, sales, and operations on targeting Maintain clean, organized, compliant email lists Monitor deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue performance Identify opportunities for lifecycle marketing, including welcome, pre-arrival, post-stay, re-engagement, seasonal, and promotional communications Continuously test subject lines, messaging, segmentation, timing, and offers to improve performance Paid Digital Manage day-to-day paid digital marketing across channels such as Meta, Google, and other relevant platforms Coordinate campaign objectives, audiences, budgets, creative assets, landing pages, and tracking Work with agency partners and specialists where appropriate while maintaining internal ownership of performance Monitor spend, CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators Optimize campaigns based on performance and business priorities Ensure paid media is coordinated with organic, email, PR, partnerships, and broader campaign activity Website & Conversion Manage day-to-day website marketing needs, including content updates, campaign landing pages, offers, events, and seasonal information Coordinate website updates with design and development partners Ensure campaigns have clear customer journeys from acquisition through conversion Monitor website traffic, user behavior, conversion rates, and booking or inquiry performance Identify opportunities to improve conversion and reduce friction across key customer journeys Maintain accurate and current information across digital properties and third-party platforms Campaign & Project Management Build and maintain integrated marketing calendars, project plans, timelines, and campaign trackers Coordinate deliverables across internal stakeholders, agencies, freelancers, photographers, creators, media partners, and other vendors Keep projects moving from briefing through launch and reporting Manage dependencies, approvals, deadlines, and asset requirements Ensure stakeholders understand priorities, responsibilities, and next steps Balance multiple businesses, campaigns, and timelines without losing attention to detail Agency & Vendor Management Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for external marketing, creative, media, PR, development, and production partners Translate strategy into actionable briefs and clearly communicate business needs Coordinate assets, feedback, approvals, deadlines, and implementation Maintain visibility into vendor scopes, deliverables, budgets, and performance Ensure outside partners have the information and access they need to execute effectively Analytics, Reporting & ROIMaintain accurate reporting across paid media, email, website, social, partnerships, and campaigns Establish and monitor KPIs for major marketing initiatives Connect marketing activity to business outcomes such as occupancy, direct bookings, retreat enrollment, event inquiries, customer acquisition, and retail revenue Develop regular performance reports for leadership Identify what is working, what is not, and where marketing investment should be adjusted Maintain appropriate tracking, attribution, UTMs, dashboards, and campaign measurement practices Sales & Revenue Support Partner with sales, reservations, operations, and revenue management to understand business priorities and need periods Develop and execute marketing initiatives that support occupancy, bookings, events, retreats, and other revenue goals Ensure sales teams have current collateral, presentations, imagery, offers, and marketing materials Track marketing-generated inquiries and support lead-generation initiatives Help connect marketing calendars with pricing, availability, seasonal demand, and business priorities Partnerships, Creators & Programming Coordinate marketing partnerships with aligned brands, local businesses, tourism organizations, creators, and community partners Manage marketing logistics for creator, influencer, and media stays Support events, collaborations, activations, and seasonal programming Ensure partnerships are amplified across email, social, web, and paid channels where appropriate Turn partnerships and on-property experiences into content, audience growth, and lead-generation opportunities What We're Looking For 5–7 years of marketing experience, ideally within hospitality, travel, wellness, food and beverage, luxury, lifestyle, or another guest-focused business Demonstrated experience running digital marketing programs that drive measurable conversion and revenue Strong hands-on experience with email marketing and CRM platforms Experience managing paid social and paid search campaigns, either directly or through agency partners Working knowledge of digital analytics, attribution, conversion tracking, and performance reporting Experience managing websites, CMS platforms, landing pages, and digital content Strong stakeholder, vendor, and agency management skills Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns, businesses, deadlines, and contributors simultaneously Highly organized and operationally strong Comfortable owning execution while collaborating with external partners on brand strategy, creative direction, PR, and campaign development Able to take a strategy and independently determine what needs to happen next Strong judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through Genuine hospitality instincts and an understanding of what it takes to market a premium, design-forward guest experience Experience across one or more deeper areas of expertise, such as email/CRM, paid digital, partnerships, hospitality marketing, growth marketing, or lifecycle marketing, is highly valued. Location This position can be based remotely in the Portland, Oregon region, but regular travel to the Willamette Valley property is required. This is a requirement. Candidates should be comfortable spending meaningful time on-site to understand the guest experience, collaborate with the team, support activations, and manage marketing execution.
