Forklift Operator - Night Shift

Shift: 6:00pm-6:30am Night shift position.

Key Responsibilities: Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings and team stretching. Operate forklift in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Complete daily forklift inspections; report and remove from service if defects are found. Accurately ship and receive products, performing Quality Reassurance Checks (QRC).Identify and address safety issues or infractions on the warehouse floor. Maintain accurate and complete documentation and paperwork. Accurately fulfill customer orders, including special instructions. Collaborate with office staff to resolve discrepancies and issues efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse: report damages and ensure proper pallet storage. Promote a team-oriented work environment through positive communication. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and uphold food safety and quality standards. Report any practices or conditions that may affect food safety, product quality, or employee safety. Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training program and ability to pass forklift certification Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English Strong math and configuration skills Ability to assess situations and make sound decisions that prioritize safety and support company operations

Preferred: Minimum of 6 months experience in a palletized warehouse environment Good interpersonal and communication skillsPIT certification is preferred but not required at time of hire all Distribution Operators will receive MFI-approved training and certification upon employment#firstinfood The pay range for this position is $19.50 to $23.50 per hour.
