To support a short-term project, the full-time Nuclear Safety Expert will audit AI model responses to sensitive nuclear-related inquiries, classifying requests and evaluating safety while working remotely.
Key responsibilities: Classify user requests as benign, dual-use, or adversarial and assess the safety of AI model responses Rank AI model answers, providing justifications and suggesting ideal responses for each request Analyze dual-use requests to identify sensitivity, legitimate purposes, and appropriate access to information
Required qualifications: Relevant degree in nuclear engineering, reactor physics, or related field Five or more years of professional experience in nuclear safety or related disciplines Experience with technical work review against standards (licensing, inspection, peer review) or AI red teaming Background in safeguards and nonproliferation, health physics, or radiation safety Citizenship or residency in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the European Union
