I&R Fiber Travel Technician Grid Source is looking for experienced I&R Fiber Travel Technicians to perform residential fiber installations and provide professional, reliable service to our customers. This is a field-based position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, traveling to job sites, working at heights, and handling physically demanding tasks while maintaining a professional attitude and high-quality workmanship.
What You'll Do: Perform residential fiber-optic installations and related service work. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service. Communicate clearly with customers regarding services, installations, and job requirements. Assist other technicians and technical personnel as needed. Ask appropriate questions to clarify instructions and resolve technical or customer issues efficiently. Arrive on time and remain dependable for scheduled assignments and on-call work. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Grid Source. Complete all required documentation and job-related tasks accurately. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need: Previous experience performing residential fiber installations and I&R work. A reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting tools, equipment, and a 28-foot ladder. A ladder rack is preferred. Your own standard telecommunications tools, including drills and hand tools. An Android smartphone and Windows 10 laptop. Additional equipment may be required by local management. Ability to safely work at heights of up to 25 feet. Ability to safely lift and move up to 80 pounds. Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Clean driving record.
