Position Highlights
Position: Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant, Oncology
Location:
Endeavor Health Infusion Center - Arlington Heights, IL
Per Diem Level 1 : 32-72 hours per 6 week schedule
Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays
Required Travel: Niles Infusion Center (occasionally)
What you will do:
Answer phones
Schedule appointments
Collect co-payments
Complete patient registration
Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
Check in and check out patient
Verify insurances
Greet patients and escort them to exam room
Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
Provide front office support as needed
Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
Phlebotomy and injections may be required
What you will need
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience, required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
Certification:
CPR certification through the American Heart Associationrequired ; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.
Experience:
One year of work experiencerequired, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
