Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the dentist, the dental hygienist provides comprehensive periodontal care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Educates patients regarding dental procedures, home care and post-op instructions.
Monitors and reinforces instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection and barrier control.
Documents procedures in patient EHR. Reviews patient's health histories.
Provides comprehensive periodontal care to patients including scaling, root planning, prophylaxis and education.
Other duties as assigned.
