The Director of Supply Chain leads the supply chain end to end — purchasing, planning, inventory, and warehouse operations — and reports to the President. This leader supports our production facility by turning forecasts and customer orders into plans the plant can execute, and by making the enterprise-level tradeoffs that keep product moving to customers on time. As a Director, this role leads through other leaders and carries broad responsibility for service, inventory investment, cost, risk, and the strength of the supply chain bench. It requires sound decision-making, disciplined time management, and the independence to keep the organization moving with limited CEO involvement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
OWN SUPPLY CHAIN RESULTS //TAKE OWNERSHIP WITH INTEGRITYLead and be accountable for all aspects of purchasing, planning, inventory, and warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and minimize company costs. Maintain OTF of 95% or greater. Manage inventory turns and inventory dollars, understanding the connections among service, capacity, labor, margin, and working capital. Oversee the Supply Chain team through its managers and supervisors to ensure work is performed efficiently and accurately, creating accountability without waiting for executive intervention. CONVERT STRATEGY INTO EXECUTION //CREATE WITH PURPOSECoordinate and develop production schedules on a daily and weekly basis based on forecast and customer orders. Form action plans to establish and meet production goals. Analyze overall inventory levels and adjust production accordingly. Build scalable operating systems, governance, and discipline that support growth across teams, sites, and businesses. LEAD FOR THE ENTERPRISE //SERVE OTHERS FIRSTCoordinate with plant management to ensure production schedules are met. Coordinate with other departments to ensure raw materials and products are delivered on time. Forecast and facilitate stock inventory levels for our brands, and partner with Sales to build and set up stock agreements with high-level customers to ensure OTF.Develop managers who independently own outcomes, strengthen the leadership bench, and prepare credible successors. IMPROVE CONTINUOUSLY //CARRY IT FORWARDExamine existing procedures and identify opportunities to streamline activities to meet product distribution needs and improve customer service. Direct the movement, storage, and processing of inventory. Proactively analyze and optimize inventory procedures. Manage inventory auditing and cycle counting. Maintain and enforce all food safety, employee safety, and quality policies and procedures. Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP, and other quality and employee safety programs. May perform other duties as assigned.
