Mine Planning Engineer - Hybrid Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and update short-term and long-term mine plans using specialized software. Optimize mine layouts, production schedules, and resource extraction methods for improved efficiency and safety. Conduct site visits for data collection, operational reviews, and progress monitoring, complementing remote planning efforts. Analyze geological data and survey information to inform planning decisions and manage ore reserves effectively. Collaborate with mine operations, geology, and surveying teams to ensure seamless integration of plans into daily activities. Monitor mining performance against plans and identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions to operational challenges.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine planning and operations. Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, or Surpac. Strong understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and principles. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to visualize and interpret complex geological and spatial data. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams in both remote and on-site settings.
