Description: This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site, providing critical support in anesthesiology within a reputable medical practice. As a Locum AA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care, collaborating with anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. This position is ideal for those looking to enhance their skills in a supportive environment while making a significant impact on patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia during surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients\' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as required
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of anesthesia equipment
  • Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-anesthesia care
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and their families on anesthesia-related procedures
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesia care
Requirements:
  • Associate\'s degree in Anesthesia Technology or a related field
  • Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) or equivalent
  • Strong clinical skills and understanding of anesthesia principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Experience in a surgical setting preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3pPatient Volume: 8-10 per day
Case Types: Hearts (no CABG), neuro, electrophysiology, DDC, healthy pediatrics, and vascular Board certification required Paid travel & expenses
