Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable PC Assembler to join our team. The PC Assembler will be responsible for assembling, configuring, testing, and preparing desktop computers and related hardware for shipment or customer use. The ideal candidate has good technical knowledge of computer hardware, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble desktop computers and workstations according to specified configurations. Install and connect components including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, power supplies, storage drives, graphics cards, cooling systems, and other peripherals. Install and configure operating systems. Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting of assembled PCs. Inspect components and completed systems for defects, damage, or assembly issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware-related problems when necessary. Maintain accurate records of system configurations, testing results, and serial numbers. Follow assembly instructions, work orders, and quality-control procedures. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements. Handle computer components carefully to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) and physical damage. Assist with packaging and preparing completed systems for shipment. Work closely with production, quality-control, and technical-support teams as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience assembling desktop computers or electronic equipment preferred. Basic understanding of PC hardware and computer components. Ability to use hand tools and basic testing equipment. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to stand, sit, bend, and handle computer equipment for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced production or electronics assembly environment. Frequent handling of computer components and equipment. May require repetitive assembly tasks and meeting daily production targets.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move computer equipment and boxes weighing approximately 30-50 lbs. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to use small hand tools and perform detailed assembly work. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
