Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Parapro Position Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs. Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals.
Job Summary:
- Minimum of 7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year
- Middle School Parapro Day 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday
- Elementary School Parapro Day: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR high school diploma with the passage of the ParaPro Assessment prior to employment
- One year of related successful work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
- Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
- Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job
Preferred qualifications: Experience working with students with special needs
Salary:
$17.47/hour (non-degreed); $19.74/hour (2-year degree); $21.50 (Teaching Certificate) Standard Employee Benefits
