Job Overview: Remote Dose Confirmation Specialist to provide critical after-hours support for emergency dose verification in medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) programs. Ensures uninterrupted access to dosing information for patients during crisis situations.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls from hospitals, OTPs, EMS personnel, and other healthcare providers
  • Verify patient dosing history using the SAMMS electronic medical record system
  • Confirm the identity and credentials of the requesting party before sharing any information
  • Document all interactions according to federal and state regulatory standards
  • Maintain strict compliance with privacy laws, including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and 105 CMR 164 Participate in periodic training on emergency protocols and secure communications
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in healthcare, substance use treatment, or OTP settings
  • Familiarity with SAMMS or similar EMR systems
  • Must be located in Boston, MA and able to pick up equipment from a facility
  • Strong knowledge of confidentiality and privacy regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and written documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently during overnight or off‑hour shifts
Additional Information: This is a remote position, but Boston residency is required for initial equipment pickup and periodic technical support. Shifts are scheduled during evenings, weekends, and overnights to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage. Role is a 13‑week contract with potential extensions. Details
