Job Summary and Responsibilities:
  • As our Clinical Aide, you will transport patients to various hospital locations under the direction of the department manager and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Every day you will deliver patient charts and tests, pick up and store supplies, and maintain noncomplex transportation-related records, including patient/material transported, arrival/departure times, and any encountered issues.
  • To be successful in this role, you will ensure safe and efficient patient transportation and timely delivery of materials, contributing to the smooth operation of hospital services.
  • Demonstrates ability to transport patients process so that performance objectives are met. For example, transport cycle time objectives need to be established and achieved.
  • Demonstrates ability to receive and understand transportation assignments and to fulfill the assignment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Under guidance of supervisor, maintains documentation of equipment including gurneys and wheel chairs.
  • Ability to interface with key department customers with regard to their level of satisfaction with transportation services.
  • Identifies defective equipment and promptly contacts the appropriate personnel for repair.
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of universal precautions and isolation techniques.Job RequirementsRequired

  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Preferred+ Hospital experience working with patient transportation
