Supervising Teacher Infant and Toddler Salary Range $62,000.00 - $66,500.00 Salary Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Category Education Horizons is offering a $4,000 Hiring Bonus to Supervising Teachers who have a Bachelor's degree and an EEC Lead Teacher certification.
Our Mission: Horizons for Homeless Children is a Boston-based non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of young children experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts. We help their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services. Our advocacy efforts extend our impact and advance our vision of ending homelessness among families with young children. Summary of Position At Horizons for Homeless Children, provides full-time early education to children experiencing homelessness. A Supervising Teacher is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of a classroom and reviews important decisions with the Assistant Director. The Supervising Teacher supports and follows all Horizons for Homeless Children policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or an unrelated field required. DEEC LEAD Teacher Certification Minimum of 3 credit-bearing hours of specialized college-level course work in administration, leadership or management preferred. Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience, in an NAEYC Accredited program preferred. Demonstrated success in supervision, strongly preferred. Able to communicate, verbal and written, fluently in English and Spanish, and or Haitian Creole strongly preferred. Supervisory skills with a strengths-based and mutual respect approach and ability to manage workloads, provide appropriate support, and address professional development needs. Experience working with homeless children and families, multi-ethnic urban families, with children-at-risk, or Horizons for Homeless Children strongly preferred. Proficiency in using MS Office applications and other relevant ECE software applications Commitment to Horizons mission and ability to embody our core values (Collaborative, Inclusive, Innovative, and Passionate).Excellence in communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate and solve problems using a team approach. Ability and willingness to handle all sensitive information confidentially. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
