Housekeeper for a Preschool

Responsibilities: Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean floors; wipe surfaces and clean windows as needed. Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, toys, fixtures, and frequently touched surfaces according to center procedures. Clean restrooms and replenish soap, paper products, and other supplies. Empty trash and recycling, and collect and launder cleaning cloths or linens if needed. Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and stored safely, out of children’s reach. Follow product labels and the center’s health, safety, and cleaning procedures. Report maintenance needs, spills, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly. Complete assigned cleaning tasks on schedule and help maintain a tidy, welcoming environment.

Qualifications: Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred; training may be provided. Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently. Able to follow written and verbal instructions and use cleaning products safely. Able to perform the physical duties of the role, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting routine cleaning supplies. Willing to meet the center’s hiring and screening requirements.
