Medical Biller Job at Pride Health in New York

Key Responsibilities: Verify billing form accuracy and enter data into databases for reimbursement processing. Investigate billing inquiries, ensuring documentation completeness (CPT, ICD-9 coding, physician data, insurance coverage, TOA, etc.).Prepare documentation for account inquiry and resolution. Maintain an account inquiry database and generate reports/summaries as needed. Investigate denial causes and apply protocols for resolution. Communicate with patients and relevant parties regarding open accounts, incorrect information, and payment arrangements. Required Skills & Experience2–3 years of medical billing experience (Medicare, Medicaid, 3rd party reimbursement, ICD-9 & CPT coding).Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Effective communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain professional under stress. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Accuracy in recording financial information.

Preferred Skills & Experience: Accounting and/or financial reporting experience. Prior supervisory experience.
