Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years’ experience in cable and wire harness testing and manufacturing. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications in testing or IPC standards are a plus).J-STD Certification is requiredIPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification is requiredREQUIRED SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONSThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking/understanding English. Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision).Must be able to work under a microscope for inspection purposes. Must be able to pass Manual Dexterity requirements (handling small parts effectively)Must be able to use and understand how to read measuring devices (ruler, tape measure, caliper, etc.).Strong understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD standards for wire harness assembly. Must possess sufficient hand and upper body strength and gross motor skills to route cable bundles of various sizes, lengths and weights (cable assemblies regularly weigh more than 5 lbs. and some exceed several hundred lbs. and need to be moved around on large wooden spools).Must be able to demonstrate Technical Literacy (ability to read and accurately interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, Parts Lists and blueprints or demonstrate the ability to learn this process).Must be able to sit for sustained periods of time (3-4 hours at a time).Must follow strong safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work as part of a team. Basic computer skills for documentation and report generation.
