Machine Shop Manager South Central Indiana | Up to $120,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Are you a machining leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and making a measurable impact on the shop floor? A well-established manufacturing organization in South Central Indiana is seeking a Machine Shop Manager to oversee daily machining operations while developing a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring employees, driving operational performance, and creating efficiencies throughout the operation.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Leading and developing a team of machinists, operators, and production personnel
- Driving productivity, quality, and safety initiatives throughout the department
- Coaching and mentoring employees to build a highly skilled workforce
- Partnering with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve business objectives
- Monitoring workflow, staffing, and equipment utilization to ensure production goals are met
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
- Creating an environment where employees are engaged, accountable, and focused on results
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Leadership experience within a machining, CNC, or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of machining operations and production workflows
- Experience developing employees and building successful teams
- Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing best practices
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to drive positive change
- Preferred ExperienceCNC machining and tooling knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
- Technical training or manufacturing-related education
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a production environment
