Contract Recruiter

Compensation: $28–$31 per hour + commission

Position Summary: Amtec is looking for a motivated Contract Recruiter to join our San Diego team! We're a privately owned staffing and recruiting firm that values relationships, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service to our clients and candidates. In this role, you'll manage the recruiting process for contract staffing positions, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews, facilitating placements, and supporting employees throughout their assignments. We're looking for someone who has experience in the staffing industry, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Position Opportunity: This position will initially be a temporary assignment providing coverage for a team member on leave, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Core Responsibilities: Source, identify, and recruit qualified candidates for contract staffing opportunities across a variety of industries and positions. Conduct phone screens and interviews to evaluate candidates' experience, qualifications, availability, and career goals. Present qualified candidates to account managers and coordinate client interviews, feedback, and hiring decisions. Develop and maintain an active pipeline of candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other recruiting strategies. Coordinate the placement and onboarding process to ensure candidates are prepared for successful assignments. Build and maintain relationships with candidates and placed employees, providing ongoing communication and support throughout their assignments. Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activities, and placement information within the applicant tracking system (ATS).Collaborate with sales and recruiting team members to understand client hiring needs, prioritize open positions, and meet recruiting goals.

Job Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of recruiting experience within the staffing industry. Experience sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting candidates for open positions. Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting tools. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to work a hybrid schedule in the San Diego area.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience recruiting for temporary or contract staffing positions. Experience recruiting for administrative, professional, technical, engineering, or manufacturing-related positions.
