Job Description: Job DescriptionOverviewRegistered Nurse, NICU | Bakersfield, California | Start 11/16/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,269–$2,442 per week | 36 hours guaranteed | Night shift (3x12s) | Travel assignment in a hospital settingKey Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,269–$2,442 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: Night shift, 3x12s (7:00 PM–7:30 AM per assignment notes)- Start date: 11/16/2026- Work setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nursingResponsibilities- Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care for neonates in the NICU using the nursing process- Monitor and interpret vital signs, administer medications, manage IVs, and provide life-saving support as indicated- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, including EPIC workflows- Supervise and delegate to licensed and unlicensed staff as assigned, ensuring patient safety and quality careRequirements- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as applicable; S.T.A.B.L.E certification required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required- Experience: At least two years of recent NICU or acute care nursing experience- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred- Additional: EPIC electronic health record experience required; ability to work in a high-acuity NICU settingBenefits and Support- Dedicated travel recruiter and 24/7 support throughout the assignment- Credentialing and onboarding assistance to help secure a timely start- Assignment-wide support to address questions and coordinate needs during the contract- Payroll support with timely processing and direct deposit optionsFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings available through Healthforce, please apply at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
