Salary: Grade 115 / Step 1 = $43,700.80 annually or $3,641.73 per month
Schedule: 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Position Summary: This position performs daily administrative, operation and program support for the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center; and provides exemplary customer service to the general public and other staff members.
Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned. Provides first line customer service to internal and external customers; greets, receives and screen visitors and customers. Responsible for opening the PLWC and ensuring the facility, equipment, and operational areas are prepared for daily activities and public use. Addresses and resolves customer questions/concerns as able and refers complex inquiries, requests, or complaints to the appropriate staff. Responsible for developing proficiency in Civic Rec, the department's recreation management software. Maintain accurate inventory of office supplies and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate materials are available for daily operations. Communicate with the PIO to monitor, update and post current information to the PLWC website and social media platforms to ensure accurate and timely communication with the public. Assists with making deposits in accordance with City procedures. Assist with the preparation of reports, letters, memos and other correspondence. May assist with entering department work schedules and shifts, time off and training related schedules. Ensure updates to departmental administrative procedures and processes are incorporated. Provides administrative support to the Superintendent and Office Specialist III.Provides backup duties to other personnel in the department during peak work periods or during absences. Assist with routine correspondence by proofreading documents before they are sent out. Assists with entering, scanning, updating, and maintaining information in spreadsheets, databases, and reports. Assists with preparing various agendas and attends meetings to record proceedings and create minutes as needed or as backup/cross training. Receives and processes customer payments, applying payment to proper account and providing receipt of transaction when necessary. Balance daily cash intake drawer and resolves discrepancies prior to the end of the shift. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) years administrative and customer service experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior work experience in public sector administrative support. Veteran's preference points are acknowledged in the City's hiring process.
