Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Ownership Build and own a standard product catalog that every new dealer group launches from, replacing one-off copies of prior builds. Own a price-increase program end to end: loss studies, staged rate structures, approval package, and follow-through until approved rates are loaded and verified. Take new coverages (including commercial and maintenance products) from concept to carrier approval to market. Benchmark rates and contract form language (coverage grants, exclusions, limits of liability) against factory programs and national administrators. Pricing & Loss Analytics Build the loss studies behind price, reserve and eligibility changes: earned loss ratio, frequency vs. severity, cost per contract per year, cancel behavior and average term, cut by product, tier, class, mileage band and vintage. Bring the rate-currency backlog current on a dated plan, oldest and worst first. Carry rate actions on known loss-ratio problems to stated targets, staging relief where the loss data sits rather than spreading it evenly. Client & Program Reviews Build and present quarterly claims and loss reviews and annual program reviews for assigned client programs, on cadence. Present pricing changes and program recommendations to internal leadership and client executives as the person who built the numbers. Program & Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as launch owner for new programs: product suite design, rate development, dates, training and go-live readiness. Run multi-party workstreams to a date across regulatory, platform configuration, data and external partners (underwriters, carriers, obligors, subadministrators).Deliver launch product and pricing content on schedule, with cost and configuration implications spelled out. Raise the analyst bench informally: review work, share method, and document reasoning so it can be repeated.
Required Qualifications:
5–8 years in F&I product administration, vehicle service contracts, warranty or insurance pricing and product analytics. Dealer group, administrator, TPA, obligor and agency backgrounds all count. Prior experience leading a team, function or program of record. Working command of VSC and ancillary economics: reserves, admin fees, packs and markups, earning methods and curves, class guides, term and mileage banding, deductibles, surcharges, cancel behavior and earned loss ratio. Has personally owned a product or pricing outcome end to end: built the analysis, made the recommendation, carried it through approval, and answered for the result. Advanced Excel (large multi-sheet rate workbooks), strong SQL against a production warehouse, and BI experience (Sigma and/or Tableau).Polished, executive- and client-ready deliverables in Power Point and Word, presented credibly to senior audiences. Bachelor's in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, analytics or business, or equivalent experience.
