Advise clients. Build tax plans. Leave back-end prep behind. Palm Beach Tax Advisory is hiring a Senior Tax Advisor (CPA or EA) to lead real estate and small business tax planning for your own book of clients.$95K–$120K base plus bonus | In person in Fort Lauderdale, FL | Clear path to Tax Advisory Manager A note from Matthew Blumberg, CPA, Founder I built Palm Beach Tax Advisory on a simple belief: clients want results, not just returns filed. Every strategy we design starts with the person (their business, their family, their goals), and we work closely with their attorneys, financial advisors, and other professionals so the plan actually gets implemented. What drives me is helping people keep more of what they earn and turn it into lasting wealth, and I believe this proactive, results-first approach is where the tax profession is headed. If that kind of work excites you, I'd love to build it with you. A typical day You're on calls with clients and their advisors, such as attorneys, wealth managers, and lenders, then building the tax plans that come out of those conversations. Most client meetings are virtual over Microsoft Teams. This is client- and advisor-facing work, not back-end work.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the dedicated advisor and single point of contact for your own book of clients
- Build custom tax plans covering entity structuring, cost segregation, 1031 exchanges, depreciation strategy, real estate professional status, and short-term rental rules
- Review prior-year returns for missed deductions and errors
- Coordinate with clients' outside tax preparers and advisors, and make introductions to outside advisors when a plan calls for itPrepare returns, mainly Forms 1120-S, 1065, and 1040, with review from the manager or founder
- Escalate complex issues and share what you learn with the team
- Why this is different from a Big 4 or regional firm
- Your own client relationships, with direct access to the founder
- A planning-first firm, moving away from high-volume return prep
- Structured onboarding and training in our planning approach
- A clear path to Tax Advisory Manager as you take on more complex clients, review work, and help train new team members
