Apply for this role →Packaging Operator Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that seed packages are labeled legibly and accurately according to customer instructions. Other essential job functions may include but not limited to: Performing work activities safely Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages as applicable Accurate bagged seed inventory counts Lifting and stacking materials up to 65 lbs. Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operators certificate Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity Assist with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
Job Type: Full-time
Requirements:
- Agricultural background is beneficial
- Computer skills beneficial, advanced skills preferred
- Understanding of seed production is beneficial
- Excellent communications skills with positive attitude
- Employee team building skills
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Well organized
- Show up on time and be dependable
