Job Description
Responsibilities:
Implement provided lesson plans and instructional materials.
Supervise students and maintain classroom discipline.
Assist other school staff as needed.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
Take attendance and maintain accurate records.
Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and abilities.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and behavior.
Participate in before and after-school duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching license or substitute teaching certificate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively and maintain discipline
- Flexibility and adaptability to various teaching assignments and grade levels
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with students
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technologyCPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Experience working with diverse student populations (preferred)
- Ability to follow and implement lesson plans
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to undergo background checks and fingerprinting as required by the school district
