Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking two part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to join our expanding team. This role involves providing comprehensive surgical care, supervising and mentoring residents and students, and helping grow our orthognathic practice and new bone regeneration and implantology services. Clinicians will practice at Elmhurst Hospital Center, a 545-bed tertiary care facility and ACS-verified level 1 trauma center located in Queens, NY.Practice Info Affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst Department is focused on growing its orthognathic practice and launching bone regeneration and implantology services Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NYResponsibilities Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients, including but not limited to orthognathic, bone regeneration and implantology procedures Supervise and mentor oral and maxillofacial residents and students within the clinic, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment Responsible for utilizing operating room privileges to perform complex procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure cohesive patient care, support community service events and promote the hospital's mission Compensation Compensation ranges from $124,800 to $187,200, excluding on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions that are awarded throughout the academic year Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need Shift & Schedule Part time (16 hours and 24 hours per week)
