How you'll make an impact The Account Manager is the quarterback of the client relationship. You'll own a portfolio of international destination clients and play a critical role in promoting them to North American travel trade and MICE (business events) buyers. This full-time, remote Account Manager role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day client relationships and ensuring delivery of high-quality services. The Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for destination and travel clients, manage project timelines, coordinate with internal teams, and monitor campaign performance. Responsibilities include preparing presentations, and reports; tracking budgets; and identifying opportunities to improve client results and expand services. The role involves regular virtual meetings with clients and partners, timely resolution of issues, and proactive communication about campaign progress. The Account Manager will also contribute to strategic planning, support new business initiatives, and help refine internal processes for greater efficiency.
Key responsibilities include: Account Management•Build rapport with key North American industry stakeholders (20% Travel Trade, 80% Business Events/MICE)•Serve as primary point of contact and lead project management across portfolio of global clients Business Development•Attend major industry conferences, tradeshows and events•Prospect, research and create new leads via cold calling, following up with in-bound leads, and in-personmeetings•Utilize sales CRM tools (e.g. Zoho, Linkedin Sales and Hunter) to track all pertinent account information tosupport the team in achieving monthly quota goals Event Management•Plan marketing activities for international destinations (sales missions, familiarization trips and special events)•Manage event logistics end to end, including venue and vendor sourcing, invitee list building and RSVP tracking, budget management, and on-site coordination Reporting•Compile post-event recaps and ROI reporting (attendance, leads generated, follow-up actions)Why we'll love you (Qualifications)Based in Canada or USA5+ years of sales or account management experience Knowledge of the B2B travel industry (Bonus: if you have experience working in destination marketing/sales)Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment of a small company; you can handle ambiguity and adapt to new information quickly Demonstrated client relationship management skills, including account oversight, stakeholder communication, and expectation setting. Experience coordinating marketing or advertising campaigns, with the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong analytical abilities for interpreting campaign performance data, preparing reports, and making data-informed recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client presentations, status updates, and internal documentation. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail.
