Apply for this role →PRN Home Health & Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Benchmark Therapies is looking for a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our home health and outpatient therapy services at Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare in Greensburg and Murrysville.
This role would be a good fit for a COTA who enjoys working with older adults and wants some variety in their schedule. You'll be providing care in both home health and outpatient settings and helping patients stay safe, independent, and involved in the daily activities that are important to them.
Because this position includes home health documentation, previous NDOC experience is required.
We're a therapist-led company, and we try to keep our approach simple: support our clinicians, communicate well, and make sure people have what they need to do their jobs well.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
Carrying out individualized plans of care in home health and outpatient settings
Helping patients improve safety, independence, and participation in everyday activities
Reinforcing home safety strategies, adaptive techniques, and caregiver education
Completing clear and timely documentation in NDOC
Keeping the supervising OT and care team updated on patient progress or changes
Working closely with patients, families, nursing, and other therapy team members
Traveling between Redstone communities and patient homes as needed
What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Pennsylvania COTA license
Previous NDOC experience is required
Home health and/or outpatient experience is preferred
Experience working with older adults is helpful
Someone who is dependable, communicates well, and is comfortable working independently
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home health visits
