Job Title: Executive Housekeeper – UHNW Household
Location: Santa Barbara, California
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday(Flexibility required for occasional weekends and holidays as needed)
Compensation: 120k-150k, healthcare stipend, PTO, 401kPosition Summary:
An experienced, discreet, and detail-obsessed Executive Housekeeper is sought to support a high-profile Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individual at their private residence in Santa Barbara, CA. This is a pivotal role for someone who operates with a high level of professionalism, anticipates needs, and takes pride in running a private household with precision and discretion. You will be responsible for maintaining top-tier cleanliness and presentation of the home, implementing organizational systems, managing vendors, and handling daily personal assistant duties. When the principal is in residence, you’ll take the lead in ensuring all operations run seamlessly and discreetly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping Care for fine finishes, artwork, and designer wardrobes Maintain systems for housecleaning, housekeeping, and household inventory stock
- Oversee procurement of household supplies, toiletries, and goods across homes
- Vacuum and mop all floor types using appropriate products, tidy personal items to ensure clutter-free environments
- Clean and polish mirrors, glass, fixtures throughout the homes
- Dusting lamps, baseboards, rooms, and closets with care
- Water indoor plants and monitor health
- Clean gym equipment, mirrors, and floor surfaces, especially after usage Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the homes
- Support in outdoor furniture upkeep, cleanliness, and seasonal resets
- Housecleaning and housekeeping at auxiliary properties before and after occupancy Coordinate vendors and contractors Maintain detailed checklists for all recurring and seasonal tasks, and essential supply items
- Assist with table settings, meal service, and event support
- Feed/wash dogs according to schedule
- Clean food and water bowls as scheduled and monitor supplies
- Laundry & Garment Care
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold hang and iron household and personal laundry to client preferences and standards Collaborate with team on dry cleaning: photograph items, inspect upon return, and organize appropriately
- Assist with closet organization and wardrobe rotations, collaborating with other staff Household Organization
- Run errands, manage shopping and returns, and manage household organization
- Serve as the point person for interior household coordination, especially when the principal is on-site
- Maintain confidentiality and handle all personal matters with the utmost discretion
- Assist with unpacking/packing and travel-related needs
- Lead household presence when the principal is on-site
- Ensure all rooms are guest- and principal-ready at all times
- Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues Represent the household with professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role for UHNW individuals or luxury households
- Excellent knowledge of high-end housekeeping and estate practices Strong organizational and time-management skills; systems thinker
- Discreet, trustworthy, reliable, and professional with excellent communication
- Comfortable with household tech (smart home systems, task lists, digital calendars)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Legal authorization to work in the United StatesMust be willing to sign a strict nondisclosure agreement (NDA) as a condition of employment Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a high-end household in Santa Barbara or Southern California Background in luxury hospitality and large private estate operations
