We are now seeking a Senior Underwriting Support Operations Analyst to join our growing U.S. Operations team. Role Overview: The Senior Underwriting Support Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the operational backbone of Octave’s U.S. MGA portfolio. This individual will work closely with underwriting teams, brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of policy administration, regulatory compliance, and delegated authority operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate directly in the launch and scaling of new MGAs, providing exposure to underwriting, operations, compliance, finance, technology, and executive leadership functions that are rarely available in a single position. We are looking for a motivated insurance operations professional with experience in one or more of the following areas: underwriting support, policy administration, delegated authority operations, premium accounting, or insurance compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and wants to help build operational excellence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Underwriting & Policy Administration Support: Serve as a hands‑on underwriting assistant during the early stages of each MGA launch, supporting submission clearance, rating, quoting, binding, invoicing, and policy issuance. Ensure underwriting assistants across all Octave businesses are trained, aligned, and operating efficiently. Monitor policy administration system data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; oversee outsourced data‑entry providers.
Delegated Authority & Compliance: Maintain compliance with Lloyd’s Coverholder Reporting Standards and U.S. regulatory requirements. Support delegated authority audits, due diligence, and quality assurance processes. Provide training and guidance on delegated authority workflows and compliance expectations.
Bordereaux, Data & Systems: Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure accurate bordereaux submissions and system integrity. Assist with system enhancements, workflow optimization, and data validation processes.
Broker & Market Engagement: Support broker onboarding, producer agreements, and ongoing broker relationship management. Serve as a point of contact for broker inquiries; ensure broker data accuracy and produce required reporting.
Financial Operations & Premium Accounting: Support cash management, collateral tracking, trust account administration, and banking activities in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor billing, reconcile cash within the policy administration system, and ensure collateral accounts remain compliant.
Claims & Operational Support: Assist with claims reporting and claims management workflows. Document current processes and help design improved, scalable operational procedures. Prepare operational metrics, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.

Qualifications:
  • RequiredMinimum 5 years of experience in an underwriting, operations, delegated authority, premium accounting, or technical role with a U.S. Carrier, MGA/Coverholder, Lloyd's Coverholder, or Wholesale Broker.
  • Strong understanding of the policy administration lifecycle and premium accounting, including Lloyd’s processes.
  • Experience leveraging modern productivity and analytics tools, including Excel, Power BI, Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred Experience with Lloyd’s delegated authority audits.
  • Familiarity with binding authority agreements, bordereaux management, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd’s compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Insurance certifications or licenses (AINS, CPCU, etc.).Ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Strong process‑orientation and comfort building workflows from scratch.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $105,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and relevant market expertise.
