Special Education Teacher [83476]

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Grade Level: Elementary

Location: In person, 35 hours per week

Hours: 7:40am – 2:40pm End Date: 10/30/2026

Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications in collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reviews. Support positive behavior interventions and create a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and success.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Active Illinois Special Education teaching license (required), LBS1- grade level K-5 Experience working with elementary students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
