Senior Manager, Wastewater Operations

Salary: $120,000-$125,000 + Benefits + up to $5000 Relocation Assistance Available for candidates relocating over 50miSummaryOn Cue Hire's client, located in Sarasota, FL, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Wastewater Operations to provide strategic leadership over wastewater treatment facilities, collection and reclaimed water systems, lift stations, and utility operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, capital planning, and the development of high-performing teams while ensuring reliable utility services for a growing community.

Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of wastewater treatment, collection, reclaimed water, and lift station systems. Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to division managers and operational teams. Manage budgets, capital improvement planning, financial performance, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve processes, performance, and service delivery. Represent the department with community stakeholders, public meetings, and executive leadership as needed. Support emergency operations and critical infrastructure response during emergency events.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 8+ years of wastewater utility experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience. Minimum 4 years of leadership or management experience. Strong background in wastewater operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and infrastructure management. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Valid Florida Driver's License (required at hire).Professional certifications (APWA, AWWA, ICMA, or similar) are preferred.
