Technical Skill Set Required:2+ years of experience assisting with general accounting responsibilities: General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, AP/ARPreparing journal entries, Focus Report Form X-17 A-5 Part IIA, equities, and haircuts. Prepare monthly bank and trading reconciliations. GAAP Experience Advanced Excel User Reports to executive management Assisting with maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Assisting & summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements. Accounting & General Ledger: Assist with preparing monthly journal entries, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and handle bank, clearing, and trading reconciliations. Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing internal financial statements, management reports, and annual audited financial statements. Audits & Exams: Assist with internal and external auditors, tax preparers, and FINRA examination teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with trading desks, operations, and compliance officers to track commissions, trade data, and internal controls.
