Overview:
Our client, a highly regarded and well-established behavioral health organization, is seeking aBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Psychiatristto join their expanding team inMiddletown, Connecticut. This is afull-time, permanentposition within amaximum-security inpatient facility, offering the unique opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a secure, structured environment. Middletown offers the charm of a New England town with easy access to Hartford, New Haven, and the Connecticut shoreline. The area is known for its strong sense of community, excellent schools, vibrant cultural offerings, and beautiful natural surroundings.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for or currently hold a Connecticut medical license
- Must be eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state healthcare programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatients in amaximum-security setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams, including nursing, social work, and therapy staff
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards
