Qualifications/Requirements Hours:proficient in Methodist theology and Christian Education reourcesan effective leader and communicatorhave an interest in and love for teaching childrenwillingness to work with otherssafety screening: must complete a comprehensive criminal background check and fulfill required UMC Safe Sanctuary training before working with children

Sunday mornings beginning 8:30amoffice hours Monday-Wednesday (9am to 2pm)various hours for special community events and holidays as needed (summer programming, special preschool and community events) Reports to Senior Pastor and SPRC Responsibilitiesschedule nursery and childcare for the churchdetermine curriculum scope and sequence for Children's church and Sunday Schoolrecruit, train, schedule and coordinate with volunteersdeliver Sunday children's sermon weekly during worship and lead Preschool ChapelPlan and direct summer children's ministry programsadministrative social media sites for children's ministrycreate advertisements (banners, fliers, emails, etc.) for regular programming and special eventscoordinate community mission activities with children and families to benefit the Little free Pantry and other charity inititiativesorganize all special annual community events for children and familiesorder all supplies for children's Sabbath, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday School, Children's church and nursery Other Requirementsattend staff meetings/worship planningassess the needs of children and families in the communitysuggest/implement new ideas and future opportunitiesset goals, evaluate performance, and make reports to Senior Pastor and SPRC
