School Psychologist
Pay: $70/hr+ (Travel Packages Available)
Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 Hours Per Week Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid Schedule Available
About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered School Psychologist to join our school community in Chicago, IL. The School Psychologist will support students' academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being while partnering closely with teachers, families, administrators, and other student support professionals. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and using evidence-based practices to help every student succeed.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments and evaluations. Participate in eligibility determinations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Provide individual and small-group counseling and social-emotional support. Develop and implement behavioral interventions and positive behavior support strategies. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related-service providers. Consult with school staff regarding academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns. Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts when appropriate. Monitor student progress and make data-informed recommendations. Assist with the development and implementation of intervention plans. Maintain accurate, confidential student records and documentation. Provide consultation and professional development related to student mental health, behavior, and learning. Promote an equitable, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology, Psychology, or a related field. Appropriate Illinois licensure/certification or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or educational setting preferred. Knowledge of special education processes, assessments, behavioral interventions, and IEP development. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
