Exam Proctor The exam proctor will monitor students taking exams at Curry College. The Exam Proctor performs duties including studentidentification, admission, seating, and monitoring of examinees, inadherence with the Curry College Nursing Program policies. The examproctor performs duties relating to preparation of testing rooms inadvance of testing, taking attendance, directing students regardingexam procedures prior to the start of the exam. The proctor must beavailable for flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Theproctor may also be asked to assist with other duties related tothe Nursing program testing.
Essential Functions: Maintain a safe and calm exam environment. Check identification before testing and follow exam seatingprotocol. Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all examprocedures. Troubleshoot or refer to assigned staff to assist with issuesincluding student login and other testing site challenges. Use high vigilance when monitoring students during examsessions to ensure a secure exam environment. Control Admission to and from the exam room/computerlaboratory. Strictly adhere to Nursing Program testing policies. Document and report incidents or irregularities accurately, including technology issues, policy violations, interruptions, orstudent concerns in a timely manner to examinee staff. Be punctual for scheduled shifts. Complete appropriate paperwork for various exams such asensuring upload when exam is completed. Verify exam materials and testing readiness before studentsbegin, including secure testing instructions, approved materials, and room/computer readiness. Enforce testing rules consistently, including restrictions onphones, smart watches, notes, calculators, breaks, and otherunauthorized materials. Maintain confidentiality and exam security, includingprotection of exam content, student information, and testingdocumentation. Coordinate with faculty, testing staff, or program leadershipwhen issues arise during testing. Ensure students complete required post-exam steps, such assubmitting or uploading exams, logging out of testing platforms, and returning materials. Provide clear, standardized instructions to students before andduring testing while avoiding assistance with exam content. Support approved testing accommodations as directed byappropriate College personnel, while maintainingconfidentiality. Complete external testing vendor trainings as required toobtain and maintain proctoring approval. Additional Functions Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designee.
Job Requirements: Essential Characteristics Previous test proctoring experience preferred. Commitment to proctor exams for the entire semester. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule - various days; varioushours 8:00am- 8:00pm (i.e., non-course exams such as HESI or ATIExams). Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural setting. Commitment to meeting the needs of our diverse studentbody. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications. Demonstrated organization skills Examples Demonstrates a genuine commitment to uphold the requiredtesting conditions for students during exams. Ability to respond to individual needs that may arise duringtesting sessions. Exhibits a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks tosuccessful completion. Proactively identifies problems, obstacles and challengesencountered by students and responds in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications: High school equivalency Previous experience in proctoring in testing environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree Experience working in a higher education/collegeenvironment Salary $25.00 per hour, per diem
