Apply for this role →Grocery Delivery Vehicle Support This role will support operations at a major grocery retailer by ensuring that delivery vehicles are available, clean, and properly positioned to be loaded for deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Move vans from yard to fulfillment center
- Clean inside and outside of vans
- Perform inspection of vehicles both before, and after, operation
- Read work orders determine work assignments to identify appropriate equipment needs
- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
- Ensure the yard is clean and organized
- Assist delivery drivers when necessary
- Education and/or experience:
- Valid driver's license (CDL not required)
- One (1) year experience with yard jockeying preferred
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work with limited supervision
Physical requirements:
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to frequently get in and out of vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment (concrete floors and changing temperatures)
