Description: Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility will have a local rate of ***RESPONSIBLITIESScreens pap smearsand non-gynecological slides and reports resultsaccording to established protocol. Reviews patient historyin association with screening cytologyslides. Documents workload and submits weekly reports for review. Reviews discrepant caseswith Pathologist to improve quality patient care. Maintains a False Negative Proportion (FNP) of 1-2% of the lab averagebut does not exceed a 5% overall FNP.Maintains an 80-100% Diagnostic Correlation with the Pathologist. Maintains gyn statistical analysis rates of 5% as comparedto the laboratory's overall rates. Maintains individualworkload limit as set forth by the supervisor/director, derived from the employee's 6 month performance appraisal. Completes special assignments as designated by the supervisor in a timely and professionalmanner. Assists with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) adequacy assessments throughout various procedureareas in the hospital.
