Senior Strategist & Learning Experience Designer
Location: Remote, with ~10% travel | Department: Learning Partners | Reports to: VP, People and Organizational Development | Role Type: Full-time
About the Role: We're seeking a Senior Strategist & Learning Experience Designer to lead strategy, design and development of learning initiatives, with a particular emphasis on supporting connected learning and communications. This role sits at the intersection of instructional design, enablement and communication strategy contributing to deliverables including: strategic roadmaps, instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training, designing in-person events, learner facing resources, and the scripts that bring our content to life on video. This role is ideal for someone who loves designing in-person training. We’re looking for someone comfortable leading strategy and providing support to the wider team as well as contributing to development of work as an individual contributor. You'll do hands-on writing and design work, while partnering closely with the learning partners team on strategic direction, Program Managers on client and stakeholder relationships, our LMS Administrator on platform execution, and the learning strategy team on digital course production. You're a natural team player and are comfortable both owning a deliverable end-to-end as well as contributing and sharing ownership with the wider team.
Core Responsibilities: ILT / VILT Curriculum & In-Person & Virtual Event Content (~35%)• Design workshops and curriculum for instructor-led sessions across audiences• Author facilitator guides, participant workbooks, training decks, and discussion/activity guides• Develop content for large-scale in-person events and recurring virtual sessions, including:scripts, breakout design, host talking points, engagement activities• Establish learning measurement and success metrics for facilitated sessions (e.g., completion, engagement, confidence gain)• Update ILT/VILT materials and job aids based on pilot and field feedback, and reviewer/stakeholder input• Refine facilitator guides based on delivery experience and post-session data Instructional Materials Design & Development (~30%)• Coordinate with the broader learning partners team on content direction• Create meeting-in-a-box toolkits, session materials, and quick-reference guides• Version content for regional or zone-specific delivery• Build discussion prompts, knowledge checks, and reflection activities• Write manager conversation guides and checklists• Develop written playbook content, best practices and sample scripts for front-line use• Define reviewing/feedback checkpoints for each material type and revise based on reviewerand field input• Track basic usage and effectiveness metrics (e.g., job aid adoption, resource usage) to inform Revisions Video & Broadcast Scripting (~15%)• Write scripts for recurring video broadcasts, testimonials or scenario-based clips• Develop on-screen talent and host prompts for scenario productions• Incorporate stakeholder review feedback into script revisions before handoff Strategic Team Partnership (~20%)• Contribute to and translate learning roadmaps into buildable curriculum architecture• Bring learning and development expertise to conversations and share knowledge with the broader team• Support translation of leadership competencies into learning objectives and instructional materials• Partner on defining program-wide learning measurement frameworks, what success looks likeby audience and channel, and which KPIs to track• Analyze learner and program data (completions, engagement, feedback trends, pilot results) to identify what's working, surface gaps, and inform content and strategic priorities• Incorporate stakeholder feedback into strategic recommendations and roadmap adjustments Qualifications• Strong writing skills are required; this role is evaluated in part on the ability to write clearly, persuasively, and in a range of voices and formats• Ability to define strategic direction and translate it into concrete, buildable materials• Strong instructional design fundamentals and understanding of adult learning principles• Experience designing and facilitating (or writing for facilitation of) in-person and virtual training• Comfort writing for multiple formats: curriculum, facilitator scripts, job aids, andvideo/broadcast scripts• A grounding in behavioral science or change management, applied or academic• Experience establishing learning measurement frameworks and using data/feedback to drivecontent decisions• Experience with dispersed or non-desk workforces a plus• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (learning sciences, communications, psychology, orsimilar); advanced degree a plus• Remote work experience and ability to collaborate effectively across a distributed team
