Assembler Position The Assembler position will support department goals regarding quality and quantity of production in a safe and respectful manner. Specific tasks may vary at different workstation assignments and as different product models are manufactured.
Responsibilities: Assemble parts per work instruction into high quality product utilizing tools and fixtures Utilize test equipment to ensure product is assembled correctly per quality expectations and other standards Visually inspect parts and product for defects such as scratches, dents, slugs, pinched wires, etc. Utilize workstation computer to read schedule, match parts to work orders, view work instructions, scan parts into inventory software, etc. Adhere to safety standards Uphold quality expectations Train employees on procedures and techniques Assist in defining work instructions Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks Other duties as assigned This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.
Qualifications
Required: Ability to visually inspect details to spot defects Ability to work with fiberglass, plastic, glue, and insulation Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation Ability to perform repetitive line assembly tasks Computer skills Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Ability to lift 40 lbs Ability to work and thrive in a fast–paced environment Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards Ability to work in a team environment Prior experience using hand tools
