The Auto Body Technician will report to the Shop Manager and perform a range of collision repairs, including major structural damage, insurance collision repairs, and minor cosmetic damage. The role uses CCC ONE for repair and estimating workflows and offers advancement opportunities to Lead Technician.
Responsibilities:
Assess vehicle damage and support repair estimates using CCC ONE.Perform body repairs across mixed collision repair types. Remove dents and repair minor cosmetic damage. Replace damaged panels and restore vehicle body components. Complete welding and structural repairs, including major collision damage. Conduct quality inspections to verify repair accuracy and finish. Follow shop safety requirements and applicable repair procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in auto body repair. Automotive collision repair training. I-CAR certification. Experience with collision repair, metal fabrication, MIG welding, and frame straightening. Knowledge of automotive refinishing, estimating software, and blueprint reading. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
