Bookkeeper
A bookkeeper administrator manages financial recordkeeping alongside daily office and administrative tasks to keep a business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Bookkeeping:
Maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely vendor payments and client invoicing.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
Prepare general ledger entries, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
Assist accountants with quarterly and year-end tax prep.
Administrative Support:
Organize physical and digital files, contracts, and financial records.
Respond to routine client or vendor inquiries via email and phone.
Manage office inventory, order supplies, and handle incoming/outgoing mail.
Schedule meetings, maintain company calendars, and arrange travel details if needed.
Common Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years in bookkeeping, general accounting, or office administration. Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
Core Competencies:
High attention to detail, strong organization, basic financial math skills, and trustworthy handling of sensitive data.
