Apply for this role →ELECTRICAL ENGINEER — MID TO SENIOR LEVELPOSITION SUMMARYThe Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and supporting electrical systems for a variety of building projects, including residential, commercial, stadium, and high-rise developments. The ideal candidate will have strong MEP engineering experience, proficiency in Revit and CAD, and a consistent professional background within an engineering environment. This position will work closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and other MEP disciplines to deliver accurate, code-compliant, and constructible electrical designs from initial concept through project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, stadium, high-rise, and other building projects. Develop, review, and maintain electrical engineering drawings, plans, specifications, schedules, and related documentation. Use Revit and CAD to create, modify, coordinate, and manage electrical designs. Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other MEP disciplines. Review project requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to develop effective electrical solutions. Participate in design coordination meetings with architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams. Support projects throughout the complete design and delivery process, from conceptual design through construction and completion. Review drawings and designs for accuracy, constructability, coordination, and compliance with project requirements. Assist with resolving design issues, RFIs, field conditions, and construction-related technical questions. Coordinate with project managers and other engineering staff to meet project schedules and deliverables. Support preparation of electrical calculations, equipment schedules, load calculations, and other engineering documentation as required. Mentor and support junior engineering staff as appropriate. Maintain organized project documentation and ensure design revisions are properly incorporated. Perform other engineering duties as assigned to support project and business requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering experience for mid-level candidates. Senior-level candidates should have demonstrated experience in MEP engineering and building electrical systems. Previous experience working for an MEP engineering firm is required. Strong proficiency with Revit and CAD.Experience designing electrical systems for building projects. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, and applicable electrical requirements. Strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with architects, contractors, and other MEP disciplines. Demonstrated career consistency and a stable employment history. Strong analytical, technical, organizational, and communication skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States. H-1B transfer candidates will not be considered. Ability and willingness to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience designing electrical systems for high-rise buildings. Experience with residential, commercial, stadium, or large-scale building projects. Previous local experience with another MEP engineering firm. Experience with mid-rise projects may be considered for candidates who otherwise meet the position requirements. Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and permitting requirements. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary building projects. WORK LOCATIONFort Lauderdale, Florida — On-SiteLocal candidates are strongly preferred, particularly candidates currently working for another MEP engineering firm in the South Florida market. Candidates relocating to the Fort Lauderdale area may be considered if they are committed to relocating. Candidates currently located several hours away within Florida will be considered less favorably unless they are prepared to relocate to the area. COMPENSATIONApproximately $100,000+, depending on experience, technical qualifications, project background, and overall fit for the position.
