Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Manager

Encompass Health seeks a Therapy Department Lead to oversee therapy services within our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this leadership role, you will coordinate physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, mentoring clinicians, supporting evidence-based practice, and collaborating with nursing and medical staff to optimize outcomes. You will monitor performance metrics, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive initiatives that enhance patient rehabilitation experiences in a nurturing, dynamic, and rewarding work environment. Lead and coordinate daily operations of the therapy department Supervise and mentor physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff Collaborate with nursing and medical teams on interdisciplinary care plans Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Monitor quality, productivity, and patient outcome metrics Implement evidence-based therapy practices and protocols Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations Manage therapy scheduling and resource allocation Support staff education, training, and professional development Contribute to departmental budgeting and process improvement initiatives Rehabilitation therapy leadership Inpatient rehab operations Interdisciplinary care coordination Staff supervision and mentoring Treatment planning and documentation Knowledge of Medicare and rehab regulations Quality and performance improvement Therapy scheduling and workload management Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency Patient safety and risk management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state license as PT, OT, or SLP Current BLS/CPR certification Prior leadership or charge therapist experience preferred ACRM or similar rehab-related membership preferred
