Salary: $95,000 - $105,000
Work style: 5 days in office.
Position Summary:
Global manufacturing company in Chicago office seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and AP/AR activities. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports and reporting packages
- Manage inventory accounting and related reserves
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Assist with cash forecasting and reporting
- Support internal and external audits
- Process AP activities, including wire transfers and 1099 reporting
- Assist with AR reconciliations and related accounting activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAPExperience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, functions)
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Manufacturing or distribution industry accounting
- Fixed asset accounting
