Controller

The Role: The Controller will oversee the accounting function, lead a small team, and partner closely with operational leadership. This individual will need to be comfortable moving between strategic financial oversight and day-to-day accounting when needed.

Key responsibilities include: Lead and develop the accounting team Oversee AP, AR, payroll and month-end close Manage reconciliations, financial reporting, taxes and audit Oversee WIP and percentage-of-completion accounting Analyze project profitability and financial performance Partner with operations and project leadership Support collections and other accounting needs as they arise Improve accounting processes, controls and reporting Participate as a member of the leadership team Help support continued business growth and process improvements

What We're Looking For: Strong WIP, percentage-of-completion and project accounting experience Background in construction, contracting, or another project-based environment preferred Experience leading and developing an accounting team Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience Comfortable being hands-on across the accounting function Experience in a small to midsize company environment Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills Formal accounting training required; degree preferred but experience will be valued heavilyERP experience required; Net Suite experience is a plus
